I tried to follow the example of Myrto's art journaling class and attempted to make a landscape on my journal. I used my daler rowney aquafine watercolours and kept thinking all those endless hours I spent as a child

watching Bob Ross explaining how a tree or a mountain is "living somewhere around here...."

My double spread is about my son playing at the beach, a simple moment

yet important to my eyes.

March main challenge at More than Words

Word Inspiration - BLISS

Creative Challenge - GESSO

What does the word 'BLISS' inspire you to create? You can choose to use the word somewhere on your project or to simply be inspired to create from it. Please explain in your blog post how it inspired you, if it's not obvious.The creative challenge this month is to use ‘GESSO’. Chances are you have a bottle of gesso on your craft table, ready to be dipped into when it’s crafty time! Be it white, clear, black or any other colour, light or thick, smooth or textured, we want to see you use gesso on your project. Try it on your background, chipboard, embellishments or anything! If you don’t have any ready-made gesso, you can even make your own. We’ve provided an easy recipe for you below. It’s ‘prime’ time to get crafty!Add your March project in this album by February 20th.

Please add 1-2 lines explanation on how you were inspired by the word and how you interpreted the creative challenge.

VERY IMPORTANT!!!  You have to incorporate both parts of the challenge, that is the word inspiration and the creative challenge, on your project in order to be eligible for a prize.  Remember that our challenge concept is all about a WORD and more (thus our name More Than Words)! :)  When we vote, we specifically look for projects that display BOTH requirements, and not just the creative challenge.  Just look at our DT members' interpretation, as described underneath their project, as example.

So here is my project for this month

I used a lot of white gesso on my background and some more to highlight

the details on my canvas as well. The word "bliss" inspired me to create this 

project because ( although I am not really a religious person ) I think that there are some special places that make us feel serenity and bliss.

February challenge at SnP-Just love yourself

Hello everyone !! Back with our new challenge at Scraps n Pieces , with the theme "Just love yourself" !  

I made a page about me ,trying to play the guitar because it is something that I love and as you can see at my journaling

doing things I love 

is the key to loving myself !!

Some of my modeling paste by decoart and hot pick 1212 stamps set for my background textures.

 I used a lot of dark colors with my Dawler Rowney aquafine watercolors and my chameleon markers ( PR4 Purple grape and VO4 Deep violet).

I made all the different shades on my chipboard key with only one chameleon marker!! Pure magic don't you think ?  This is the set I used:
