Scraps n Pieces May challenge - You are loved ..

  Hello scrapy friends !! We have our new challenge at Scraps n Pieces challenge blog with an amazing mood board by Valia Katzaki and a spectacular color combo we all loved and follow ! Get inspired from our moodboard , create whatever pleases you most and play along with us until May 26th!!

  My first thought when I saw the mood board quote was my little son, who is so deeply loved not only by me but by the whole family. He is now 4 years old but I chose an older photo of him , its one of my favorites !

  The color combo was so enchanting that I couldn't resist using it! I added 2-3 different shades of gold and teal with my embossing powder, acrylics and pens which you can all find at Scraps n Pieces emporium.

I used a thread on this one, I was not very confident but did it anyway

Scraps n Pieces April challenge - Watercolors ....

   Hello dear friends !! Our new challenge at Scraps n Pieces challenge blog is on and we welcome you all to join us and have fun with your watercolors, mists and inks !! Get inspired from our moodboard , create whatever pleases you most and play along with us until April 25th!!

   My page is simple, with white background and lots and lots of modeling paste and watercolors ! I used the Daler Rowney aquafine watercolor set from Scraps n Pieces emporium which I absolutely love for its bright and vivid shades! I picked an old photo of me for this one, from a day I was trying to fly a kite, which most of the times landed on my head...but fortunately the camera was kind with me and captured the right moment !!

I also used a little bit of wire at this one...

  This month's mood board is absolutely fantastic, I personally loved it very very much and was made from our very talented DT member Melenia Agapides !!

Sunshine in Venice - for Scrap Around the World

    Hello friends !! This is my entry for Scrap Around the World challenge 23.

I made my page using watercolors, a lot of gesso for my textures and a collage of 3 different photos from my trip to Venice as the main background . I wanted this layout to remind me of the days I spent there, so I add as part of the decorations a mask, a small piece of murano glass, the birds ( like those  st Mark's square  ) and a compass as a symbol of traveling and exploration. Venice is truly a place filled with small ( ...and BIG ) wonders.

What inspired me the most are the colors and the general feeling of calmness of the images.
